SOAR Global Foundation has a variety of volunteering opportunities for every background and lifestyle. Whether you are an individual, a student group, a family, or a group of friends, we have just the right program for you.
The Teaching project seeks to stimulate the interest of school children in studying, reading and speaking English, while simultaneously offering local and international volunteers the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the Ghanaian culture and education system. Our volunteers will assist in the local libraries, recreational centers, schools and vocational institutes. We accept volunteers from any background. Prior experience in Teaching is not a requirement.volunteer now
Volunteers work in Orphanages across Ghana by providing education, love, care and attention to orphaned children and assisting in the day to day care of the children in the Orphanage. We encourage individuals with Social Care backgrounds or a general desire to take care of children to sign up for this project.volunteer now
Our aim is to improve accessibility to basic healthcare and medicine through our mobile clinic facilities and other community health outreach initiatives. Volunteers with backgrounds in Nursing and the Medical sciences are encouraged to partake in this project.volunteer now
This project focuses on the construction and renovation of orphanages, clinics, community centers, toilet facilities and schools. Volunteers will work closely with the local people on tasks which include painting, brick laying, plastering, digging, block shaping, carpentry, steel bending, mortar mixing, etc. No experience is required.volunteer now
Volunteers work closely with rural small holder farmers to help bridge the broken links in the agricultural value chain that leaves farmers poor. The project focuses on crop production, poultry and livestock rearing and assisting farmers with farm management and practicing a more knowledge-based production. Volunteers will be heavily involved in clearing land for growing crops, assisting with fertilizing the land, developing land for cropping, planting crops, nurturing crops, teaching farming techniques to local staff, assisting with purchasing stock, caring for stock, and fencing and moving stock.volunteer now
